Chair Yoga

What is it?

In chair yoga, postures are done seated in a chair, standing, or by coming to the floor with support.  Options are widely available to keep from bearing weight on sore joints.  Aside from the physical stretch, chair yoga incorporates healing breathe work and calming meditation practices. 

Who is it for?

Anyone who experiences physical discomfort in a traditional yoga classes, especially those healing from injury or caring for a chronic condition.  Also great for those who seek a gentle practice.
